Project Description

Carbon Capture Facility
contact

This model showcases a complex arrangement of equipment typical of post-combustion or pre-combustion carbon capture (CC) processes, which involve large-scale chemical absorption or separation. The most dominant feature is the very large, tall, cylindrical vessel on the right. This is highly characteristic of an Absorber or Scrubber Tower, where industrial flue gases are chemically treated to strip out the CO2.

The central area consists of two main processing modules built on multi-level pipe racks and structural steel frames. These modules hold numerous smaller heat exchangers, pumps, or horizontal vessels (the smaller cylinders running horizontally), which are essential for controlling the temperature and pressure of the solvent throughout the capture cycle. The model also includes realistic infrastructure elements like ladders, railings, and platforms, suggesting it is built to high engineering standards.
