Project Description
This architectural scale model represents a cutting-edge industrial facility, specifically envisioned as a factory utilizing advanced biological technologies for recycling plastic and textiles. The model features a complex arrangement of grey and white industrial volumes, including processing units, large storage tanks, and intricate piping networks that illustrate the facility’s technical workflow.
The site is meticulously organized with realistic infrastructure, featuring paved transit routes for miniature logistics trucks, clearly defined perimeter fencing, and expansive green spaces with scale-model trees to highlight the project’s commitment to ecological sustainability and modern industrial design.
French biotechnology start-up Carbios has developed an enzymatic process for recycling polyethylene terephthalate (PET) back into its constituent monomers, from which new plastic can be produced with the same properties as virgin material. Carbios’ plant is currently under construction in Longlaville, France – a strategic location to access nearby waste supplies from Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg
