Project Description
This is a scale model of an agrivoltaic solar farm, a concept where agriculture and solar energy production coexist on the same land. The model includes elevated solar panels arranged in rows with spacing that allows sunlight to reach the crops below. The panels are tilted to optimize solar capture.
The base simulates a cultivated field with textured brown material representing soil or crops. A miniature harvesting machine is shown operating under the panels, highlighting the dual-use of the land. This scale model effectively illustrates the potential of agrivoltaics to integrate renewable energy production with conventional farming, improving land-use efficiency and promoting sustainability.
This architectural scale model clearly demonstrates the innovative concept of an agrivoltaic solar farm, where renewable energy production is seamlessly integrated with agricultural use. By combining photovoltaic panel structures with active farmland, the model highlights how a single area can serve dual purposes—generating clean energy while maintaining agricultural productivity.
The elevated solar panel systems are designed to allow sufficient sunlight to reach the crops below, while also providing partial shading that can reduce water evaporation and protect plants from extreme weather conditions. This contributes to improved crop resilience and more efficient water management.
