Project Description
Industrial models are essential in the process of designing and optimizing industrial facilities, as they provide a very clear perspective on how they operate. Thus, engineers and designers use models to be able to evaluate the efficiency of processes, to plan the distribution of space and to identify potential problems before construction begins.
Industrial models serve multifaceted purposes. They aid engineers in testing and validating design concepts, allowing them to analyze the feasibility of complex structures or systems. Moreover, these models serve as educational tools, offering a tangible representation for stakeholders, city planners, and policymakers to understand the impact and functionality of large-scale projects.
French biotechnology start-up Carbios has developed an enzymatic process for recycling polyethylene terephthalate (PET) back into its constituent monomers, from which new plastic can be produced with the same properties as virgin material. Carbios’ plant is currently under construction in Longlaville, France – a strategic location to access nearby waste supplies from Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg
