Project Description

This architectural model showcases an agrivoltaic solar farm, a cutting-edge concept that demonstrates the harmonious integration of renewable energy production with traditional agriculture. By utilizing the same land for two different purposes, this project highlights a sustainable solution to land-use conflicts between energy needs and food security.

The model illustrates solar panels elevated on high stanchions, allowing for simultaneous agricultural activities beneath them. Miniature figures of cattle and sheep are positioned on “green pastures” under the panels, representing how solar farms can provide shade and shelter for grazing animals.

A dedicated section features a tractor and miniature crops, demonstrating that the solar array’s height and spacing are designed to allow farm machinery to operate and plants to receive sufficient sunlight. The solar array consists of multiple rows of photovoltaic panels, tilted to optimize energy capture from the sun. Agricultural fields covered by photovoltaic panels have become a normality today, being an excellent way to produce electricity in an environmentally friendly way, but also for free.

Thanks to the inventiveness and the ability to maximize the land, now there is also the option to suspend and automate them, being able to benefit in this way from maximum solar efficiency, something that can be achieved with the help of axes that will rotate depending on the position of the sun in hours preset.

An architectural model can help you visualize much better what you want to build and observe the economic benefits and not only that the vacant land can offer you.
